Religion in schools part 2
Once again, the phrase "under God" in the Pledge of Allegience is coming under fire, and the Supreme Court is going to get involved...
Once again, similar to the school prayer issue (see earlier post), I'm having a hard time getting emotionally involved. Just saying the word "God" doesn't make you a believer, and not saying it doesn't make you less righteous (or an 'idolatrer") Who cares? Allow students the right to not say the pledge if they so choose and be done with it. Why does this have to take up the time and effort of the legal system? I think the 'father suing the school' issue is more representative of a serious problem in this country than saying the word "God" in school, but that's an issue for another day...
