Happy Thoughts--June 14, 2004
Things that make me happy:
1: 88-80 If Detroit ends up winning, some columnists are calling it the Greatest Upset Ever in NBA Finals History. What a joke...the Lakers aren't that good. They were NEVER that good. Without Derek Fisher's 0.4 shot they wouldn't have gotten out of the second round. If they had won the championship, they'd be the weakest championship team since the '94 Rockets. 'Greatest Upset Ever'--come on...
2: Preparing a lesson and having everything go just as you planned.
3: 80's music--even Starship's "We Built This City", recently named "Worst Song Ever"

I am also rooting for the Pistons. However, I do think the Lakers are "that good." Kobe and Shaq are some of the greatest stars/athletes in the NBA but they are too arrogant and didn't show enough respect for this young hungry Pistons team. Anyways... I can't wait 'til Tuesday's game. Should be a great one as I expect the Pistons to take it all. It's been fun to see the Pistons get so many offensive rebounds.
Poor Karl ... (cackle)
