Sign of the Apocalypse #238...
Parents sue Walmart over F-word on CD...
Let's see...
(1) Walmart can sell or not sell anything they want--no different than a movie theater deciding not to show R-rated movies if they chose to (although, oddly, Walmart sells R-rated movie DVDs...so I'm confused...)
(2) Parents can and should keep standards and monitor what their kids are watching/listening to...
(3) If Walmart has a policy about what is 'objectionable' and what isn't--and doesn't sell the 'objectionable' stuff--but then does happen to have something on the shelf that violates their own standards and isn't labeled accordingly, then by all means bring it to their attention...
See, like a good conservative, I'm going along with the article perfectly...up until this point:
The complaint...seeks damages of up to $74,500 for each of the thousands of people who bought the music at Wal-Marts in Maryland.
Ah, yes--$74,500 for the emotional and psychological damage of...hearing one (1) F-word on a CD...
Where can I sign up for this?
Question: why is anyone listening to Evanescence anyway, when they could be listening to the older, better (and--take note--profanity-free!) Lacuna Coil instead?

Great. While we're at it, how about we just remove every scrap of personal responsibility?
